Games HeadQuarters - Arcade game 1000 added

Somewhere, 20.th of December 2008 - Games HeadQuarters proudly presents arcade game number 1000 is placed for our members.

In April 2007 we started testing a new addon for our forums, the Arcade module. It came without any game but there was a portal software based on phpNuke using it and we had the chance to have a look hows it working - and got the first 30 games for. Then - it was 19.th of May 2007, we could make it public. It was working well and we had already more the 50 games running as a test for our members. Would they like and use it?

They did, and after a few days we knew we need to work harder to get more games into it. In the beginning we where testing around with additional features and access rights, all that was gone shortly (like the rule to post once in the forums before getting access to the games), but we where still searching for good stuff. 1.st of June we where already counting game number 168 and thought 'thats alot'. End of Juli we announced the rating system for the Arcade module. The members where able to post a rating for each of the games to show up their favorites to the others. Later on we added a small posting feature, each game is working like its own topic. Members can post a comment after a win or only to post some words to start a challenge.

One and a half year later we have 1000 games in 15 categorys public and we are still growing. The administration of Games HeadQuarters is working to make you able having fun with it. Play some minutes for fun or start a challenge and play hour and hour... There are already many features you may never saw before, because it is no more only the Arcade module itself. Play around, find those special links (my favorite is the User Stats link in each members forumsprofile to start challenges) and feel free to talk about or comment in the Arcade Forum.
